100% Chunky Merino Wool Hunter Sweater

The Archie Shooting Jumper is made in our Leicestershire factory from heavyweight (800g) 100% Andean merino wool, featuring genuine suede leather patches, making it a stylish choice for any heritage winter wardrobe.

It displays detailed cable patterns, a honeycomb knit at the centre, and Aran-inspired touches. This thick jumper emphasises traditional craftsmanship while offering a sleek, contemporary shape.

The sleeves are decorated with textured moss stitch and a central cable, complemented by a raglan shoulder for a relaxed fit and greater mobility. The jumper is finished with a ribbed double trim at the neckline and ribbed cuffs and hem, combining practicality with style.

Perfect for layering in colder weather, the insulating qualities of chunky merino wool provide exceptional warmth and breathability, ensuring comfort all day. Paying homage to traditional craftsmanship, this versatile knit skillfully blends warmth, texture, and timeless style.

Consider These Pieces

Merino Wool Yarn

Exceptionally fine and naturally intelligent, merino wool is prized for its ability to regulate temperature while remaining soft against the skin. Designed by nature to adapt, it provides warmth in cooler conditions and breathability when temperatures rise.

We source our chunky merino from Peru and our extrafine and superfine merino is supplied by industry favourites Zegna Baruffa (Est. 1850), Papi Fabio (Est. 1890) and Lanerossi (Est. 1817).

Made in our Leicestershire Factory

This piece is made in our Leicestershire factory by experienced knitters working at the centre of England’s long-established knitwear industry. The site has been integral to the development of our wool and cashmere collections, where attention to finish and consistency is essential.

Because we own and run the factory ourselves, we are closely involved at every stage of production. This hands-on approach allows us to control quality and materials, resulting in knitwear made in England that is built to last and offered with a clear, direct connection to the factory floor.
