Rooted in British seafaring heritage, our Sark cotton linen Gansey sweater is inspired by the iconic Guernsey jumpers once worn by fishermen navigating the harsh North Sea. Reimagined for modern life, this midweight (690g) knit blends the durability of traditional knitwear with breathable comfort and refined craftsmanship.

Knitted from a robust and skin-friendly blend of 70% cotton and 30% linen, this sweater is designed to endure, offering cool, natural comfort through warmer months and reliable insulation when layered over lighter pieces. Made in our family-owned factory in Navsari, India using the latest Japanese knitting technology

Freddie is 6ft 1" (185cm), chest size 40" (98cm) and wears medium for a regular fit
Relaxed fit for a traditional gansey fit, we recommend taking your normal size. This sweater follows the same sizing as our submariner sweaters
Length size medium 70cm +/- 1cm with each size
Chest size medium 54cm +/- 3cm with each size

Machine wash using a gentle 30°C on a low spin or 40°C for heavy stains
If hand-washing, rinse thoroughly in tepid water with a mild detergent
Ensure any excess water has been removed to avoid stretching
Smooth the garment back into shape and dry flat on a towel
Dry naturally, away from sunlight
Never dry on direct heat or radiators
Iron your knitwear inside out while slightly damp to preserve its shape
Store folded to retain shape
Cotton will stretch when worn, washing it will return it to its original shape
